There comes a certain degree of understanding
Where we clearly see
That the pilgrim, repeating his Prayer of the Heart
Penetrates his own reality
And enters his deeper Self.
The Prayer has unveiled its secret.
Scraping, sanding, layer after layer
The Prayer has pierced the pilgrim’s heart,
And settled.
