Economy of Soul

Whatever the amount of money invested,
it doesn’t change anything
to the suffering generated by accomplishing the requested task.

So it is with life energy
that is poured out in the face of worldly demands.
It is, as always, a story of the market, of rarity.

Age advances and this energy sees its offer dwindle.
The energy of life is refined as much as it is rarefied.

The exchange might as well not happen anymore.
I’m just telling you things as they are :
the minimal potential meeting area with your gesticulations
is no more.

Can you feel the psychological edge ?
It is what pushes you into yet another ‘next moment’.

This is why calm equates presence
Experience it.
Slow down the psychological stream again, again,

Or let it flow
Without you.
Gently swim to, and reach
The shore,

Either shore, it does not matter
one is calmness.
The other, presence.
