However respectable the initial project may be, it is certainly an egotic withdrawal (self-asserting/feeling of existence) which shelters and feeds it, from which by virtue of psychological arabesques ends up presenting itself under such or such a form, more or less well justified, depending on the quality and finesse of the intellectual processes involved.
