The real teaching does not lay in the texts,
it is held, active or coiled, in what is ineffable and sudden.
If it makes it accessible in depth,
The teaching is lightning fast
that springs between your eye and the text,
The breath animates your letters and opens your heart to beauty,
And the grace of the breath places the letters in your heart and from your heart illuminates the letters in return.
When at last the letters and the heart are on fire,
Heaven and Earth unite, embracing each other in an embrace of meaning.

The person, not the text, is what matters.
