How does one prevent the idea of freedom becoming a device?

As long as freedom is used as a device, there can be no real freedom.
Pretenses of freedom is a Machiavellian manipulation device.
The discriminating factor : who is the Free-er?
Genuine liberation can never emanate from the manipulator.
(Buddhists would here mention ‘skillful means’…)

Yes it seems everyone has their own interpretation.
THere is an official reference in the Sutra.
And then there are deviations and flattering adaptations.
I’ve stopped trying to understand Buddhism.
To be honest, I’m not even sure there actually is somethingi called Buddhism anywhere else but in the minds of people calling themselves Buddhists.
