In Mayahana Buddhism, there is a doloristic reading of the teachings, which is strangely familiar to a certain approach of Catholicism.It can be found in the voluntary, sacrificial choice of the Bodhisattva not to access complete awakening in order to remain among suffering beings so as to be able to support them.
To what extent this parallel can be drawn further….
