Zen on the lips

Zen, Zen, Zen…
It does not matter the least !
For Zen does not exist,

Zen exists nowhere else but in yourself, right here, right now,
What you extrapolate from the past,
What you are considering for the future,
Does not exist.

Zen is not built from zen
Such is your great freedom,

And such is your oppression when you go astray.
What you call ‘zen’ can never be zen
Because zen is alive and the word is not.

The same goes for God.
