Thanks for your careful reading again.
I think I meant « no longer understands » as « is now operating from a modality not receptive to the hooks and baits from manipulators.
It goes beyond « seeing through and rejecting » …it simply just doesn’t stick to such a man’s surface anymore.
Like a dimensional shift.
Maybe « understand » is not appropriate in English,
I simply translated « comprendre » in the most effortless (lazy) manner…
