Our Sitting Practice Cannot Be Explained

Silent Sitting, Zazen :
Direct access to the Cosmos,
The passage under the crust of words.
The crossing of the matrix of suffering.
Such layers of concepts, fabrications of the mind.
Silent sitting leads you through.
Through words, we seek to explain the practice from the factory of language, from the energy
that fuels the factory,

That is why the practice can never be explained.
Through sitting then, from the wordless realm
Recognize the wordless, hidden behind the words.

Spirituality, if it is expressed elsewhere than in the quest for the Ultimate is not the Way.
All traditions, if they express the quest for the Ultimate are the Way,
When a tradition loses sight of the Ultimate, ten thousand beings leave the Way.
