I doubt the need to bow or pray.
If the divine resides within you, to whom may you bow?
To reside within the divine is to serve without subservience. To speak, to ask, without prostration.
This may be nothing more than terminological issues, though.

Cultural matter? One might equally say, « That is why you shake hands »? The cultural lens might be misleading me in this conversation.
