Subtle, the sound ripples that emanate from the singing bowl
At the beginning of sitting practice,
participate in your centering,
do not neglect them.
Subtle, the wood that you strike to gather the disciples scattered by life,
those of this world and those of others
to call them back to practice,
the first step of your coming back,
do not neglect it.
Subtle, the incense that penetrates the nostrils of all the disciples
it is the delicate thread that comes to sew them together
like so many prayers on a larger fabric.
On this garment, all beings gather,
those who surround you here as well as others,
the incense infiltrates everywhere,
do not neglect it.
