Always Vaster

I have always had this attraction to wide open spaces,
Since I was little, I have been attracted, physically, by the opposite of confinement.
The emptiness of Buddhism appealed to me,
And everything that contributed to enclosing this infinite space in narrow conceptions, even if they were official, made me suffer.

The simplicity of sitting practice, its radical simplicity, comes from this same impulse of the heart and all the speeches aiming to lock up here or there those who would not accept this or that element of doctrine made me suffer.

Today, the only truth that inflames my soul with joy and serenity,
is the following: God is great.

Everything that comes after or before that, is a matter of confinement
God is great,
Which means in reality that, whatever may happen, whatever one may think, God is always greater.

The Dharma, the wisdom of the Buddha, the Spirit of Christ,
in this ocean, come from further away,

All the drops of the prostrations of space and time and all the currents of each of the rivers of teachings end up pouring into it.
And, wherever the practitioner is, he will end up saying that God, Christ, the Heart, Consciousness,

Is vast,
Always vaster.
