Zazen is the ultimate posture.
All other beliefs, traditions, and expressions are stations prior to zazen.
Zazen is the universal foundation, transcending all religions and yet found at the heart of each of them.
Zazen is not the zazen of dojos, bowls, or meals; it is not the zazen of manners around the kesas.
Yet, zazen is also all of this;
When the boat is left for the ocean,
When the sand island becomes visible.
The disciple looks through it.
