The love Paul speaks of in 1 Cor. 13 is a greatness of the Heart,
the inner space that the practitioner is led, called to contact.
In a short paragraph, the apostle of Christ defines what it means to truly welcome.
He describes the four divine abodes (brahma vihara): joy, compassion, lovingkindness, and equanimity.
The love Paul speaks of also includes acceptance, surrender to something greater than oneself.

Whether Paul would have agreed, I do not know.
That many who claim to follow his words would disagree, I am certain..

It does make me wary of how I speak, so as not to be interpreted as lending support by those whose worldview I reject.

Doesn’t this mean you still care what others think ?
Or is it an intention not to harm others… of form of gentleness ?
