The dojos
The three chimes of the bell,
The rituals,
The teachings,
The stories of the Buddha’s life,
All are allegories, all are invitations to enter the inner temple,
When the gate of the inner temple is passed,
All else remains,
Or does not remain,
It does not change a thing.

And that temple.
Is it not vast as the heart, quiet as the grave, contemplative of all?
Is it not where awareness meets the consciousness of all?
Where everything is seen to be nothing, and nothing becomes everything?

Nothing becomes everything.
Only if nothing means not a thing,
Or else we ve turned emptiness into yet another pitfall.
Awareness meets the consiousness of all but does not melt in it.
Or else fusion is yet another escape strategy.

I usually think of each consciousness as a discrete part of the universal consciousness, able to access the all but not usually « aware » of that.
What is nothing other than « not a thing »?

the nothingness people sometimes defend and cling to.

Ah – but that is, definitely, something..
