The Day of Retribution can be read as the moment of truth, the one when all illusions will fall, when man will be confronted with reality, with the face of God.
When not a single artifice he has used throughout his life will be useful or opposable to him.
Even the constructs around which he has built his life, his relationships, his representations of the world, will collapse in that instant.
He will be naked before his creator.
All the filters between the reality of his nature will be dissolved.
What will happen then to someone who has lived only through a multitude of filters of attitudes, identities, representations, and beliefs ?
