I wonder if this is not the case with Mary, in Christian teaching.
Theotokos, the “Mother of God,” through her initial “yes/fiat,” up until the day of birth, actually allows the Divine to come into her womb.
In her, God is incarnate.
The divine emerges, manifests itself.
At every moment,
This awakening of Mary to herself is the one we are called to experience at all times.
In each of us, the “yes” waits to be said.
In each of us, the Mother of God waits to give birth.
In each of us, the miracle of birth to the divine presence waits to be realized.
In each of us, the unexpected awaits.
