All Prayers

Prayer and acts of devotion are a practice of resonating with a foundational aspect of spirituality (listening to and expressing the depths of the soul).

Ultimately, all these prayers, devotions, and chants converge because there is none of these facets of spiritual life that is not connected to all the others.

No prayer that does not contain them all,
no particular devotion within which all other prayers are not prayed,
no chant in which the melody of the universal song is not encoded.
And whatever they may be, all prayers are to God.

    1. So beautifully phrased, Simon,
Have you ever considered writing poetry ?

This is precisely what I try to mean, more bluntly and roughly when I say zazen contains all practices, all rituals, all religions

Yet not a word is uttered
      not a gesture is made.
