The Christic View

The Christic view, the right view, is the understanding of the divine nature of all things.

Zen, the work of consciousness, does not teach gentleness or harmony: it teaches the violence of everyday actions, the violence whose existence we were previously unaware of, yet which permeated our lives, affected those around us, and left an atmosphere of tension in the places we passed through.

There is no tradition that, before teaching silence, does not plunge you into the midst of your own clamor.
