If Zen seems relevant to me, if zazen is so central to the practice,
it’s because, while religions and all traditions focus on photography, landscapes, and the interplay of light,
Zazen proposes studying the rules of optics and sitting from the depths of the eye.
Augustine said that he first appreciated the beauty of everything, then began to look at the light that illuminated them all.
