The more I practice zazen, the more I encounter the depth of Christ’s teachings.
The more I encounter Christ’s teachings, the more I practice zazen.
The more I allow myself to be permeated by the spirit of Christ’s words,
the more it encourages me to practice zazen with complete freedom.
The more my zazen practice becomes authentic and simpler,
the more I am drawn to Christ’s teachings.

I am curious. Would you describe yourself as a Christian? Or are such definitions misleading and/or restrictive?

I would have a hard time describing myself.
I’m much more interested in thwarting the one who persists in trying to so.
I’m done with belonging.
In reality, I’ve always been
Done with belonging.
I am a Consciousness investigator and I believe that is the way, the truth, and the life.

Misleading and restrictive, then. Agreed. The main difference between us on this seems to be that I seek to avoid the terminology of what I am not.

Working to avoid terminology also means remaining defined by terminology…therefore, in a way, still depending on what one claims to be freed…don’t you think ?

There is a danger of being defined by what one does not believe. But that is in the minds of others and does me no, and them little, harm.
Far better that, than giving religionists the opportunity to use my words to reinforce their positions and maybe entrap another. I know how evangelists work. That would apportion to me a share of responsibility for potentially significant harm.

If I understood correctly, this would me entering the mirroring and counter mirroring game, which, also, is an endless trap.
Arguing with religionists is the ultimate error…
Arguing with anyone, I’d say, eventually.
For there can never be any exogenous change of heart. Only position reinforced.

I do not argue with them. That is the point. I seek to give no opportunity that would lead to misrepresentation and argument.
