The zazen I practice is not that of religious posturing where one adorns oneself in dark robes and sprinkles one’s discourse with Japanese-sounding words.
The zazen I practice is not that of serious, learned, pontifically ordained people, those who dedicate their lives to Zen, as one might become a baker.
The zazen I practice is that which lies beyond all religions.
It is that which passes through them, which welcomes them on the other side, thus piercing their suffocating bubbles.
Through this opening, I sometimes fall back into religions, into their frames of reference,
And observe the gestures of the men in black, too organised to be genuine.
