Impermanence = de-seizing
To realize what it means to de-seize
To no longer grasp
Herein lies the entire teaching of the Buddha, and all the esoteric teachings of the traditions.
The de-seizing of self, immersion in great freedom.
Whoever insists on the theological implications of the absence of self gets tangled up in anatta.
He who realizes what it means to de-seize, the true meaning of anatta.
Letting go of the self proceeds to the salutary leap over the undulations of the carpet of non-self.
This is also one of the reasons why the Buddha does not answer when questioned about the presence of a permanent Self.
This question always arises with one’s feet firmly planted in the carpet, and any answer he might give would only cause one to wander back and forth in the folds of the carpet.
