Letting yourself get carried away by sleep
Surrendering yourself over to the sleeping current
There is nothing surprising in the difficulties encountered
By the one we have so often forsaken,
No wonder it generates so much backwash
When it comes to surrendering to sleep.
Staying up
Until the morning comes
Staying up, excessively
Watching, making sure
Everything remains under control.
Scanning thoughts one after the other
Sleep, without being able to utter a reason why
Wait, lying in a trickle of water
Widening slowly, a gentle roar from upstream
As pebbles roll and polish each other through the flow
Unclenching fists and letting go of all thoughts’ dust, On the way back, in faith, giving in.
