The experience of silence is the only possible way out.
Without the shadow of a doubt, the professional sphere offers a surface of grip, an opportunity to come to relation with others.
Therefore, there are two levels of answers which we can access on this day :
A ‘less-worse-than’ approach allowing the practice of reality. It opens onto an answer of greater radical-ness, an uncompromising judgement of our freedom of consciousness.
A mistake would be to think that the more radical we get, the closer from the truth we’re coming.
The second criterion has to do with our psychological profile (past, childhood, relation to coercion).
The same observation applies to monastic life some people choose. It certainly corresponds to the personal dispositions of such people but is not in any way superior to the path of the family man.
