It is very important to perceive that this ‘listo-mania’ that seems to haunt the Asian / Indian mind, giving teachings a form of lists of 3, 6, 9, 12…elements, has nothing to do with the understanding we can have of such a ranking practice, as long as we keep following our Western mind.
From an Indian perspective, a sutra-writing mind, exhaustiveness is not the objective.
Composing elements are not arranged in a siloed manner.
Each of these items seeps in and eventually boils over all other items and ends up containing them all.
It simply has to do with a traditional usage of a bi-dimensional layout.
They all appear equally important and independent,
When understood from within, they all reflect each other.
