Buddhism was this brilliant, spacious teaching,
Zen, lively and breathing, creates my body in reality.
And the Buddha is not the Buddha,
That’s why I call him the Buddha.
And then, one day, the Buddha found the way to my heart.
Or the other way around.
My heart has found the heart of the Buddha.
And Zazen is a bath of bliss, which one takes in the Buddha’s river of love.
Thus posed, on a rock, he washes us anew, at every moment.

Your Buddha is what you create for yourself. Just as Christ for the Christian. Or the pantheon I have in mind when I think of deity.
All these are pictures. Structures by which the ultimate makes itself known to those who live and perceive.
I care little how any person views such personifications. As long as they are not advanced as the only « right » view.

Personification, like Beauty, lies in the eye of the beholder.
Where you see personification, I merely said : awakening (what Buddha means originally) light piercing through, divine Nature (Christ).

Are you not, however, putting names on these that carry the baggage of myth and doctrine that coalesce into a picture of a, more or less synthetic and unreal, supposed personality?
There is danger in terminology.

I’m merely talking about personal statements noted when watching inner realities …all the rest is a narrative stunt/detour
