I don’t follow the path
I am the way that unfolds under my feet.
The one that the worlds
Every moment, bring me,
On a carpet rolled-up in Time.

« You are your own devil, you are your own god.
You fashioned the paths that your footsteps have trod
And no-one can save you from error or sin
until you have heark’d to the spirit within »

Realising there is not much that can be done to help others unless they have initiated the process themselves.
Who is Ella Wheeler Wilcox ?
I know, I can look up her name if I want to know…but sometimes, a good old un-mediated human to human conversation is just what you need.

All I can say for sure is she is the person who wrote the poem from which I took that. It is worth reading the entire poem. I would not necessarily agree every word of it, but it is thought-provoking.

It does not matter where you are when typing on a computer – most of my contacts these days are even further away than are you. Mind, there are probably two channels between us, strictly – the Bristol and the English.
Is it called the « English Channel » in France or is that another bit of traditional little-Englander nationalism?
