The devil, etymologically, is the one who divides, who dis-unites,
the one who « gets in the way » of the road,
In doing so, he splits the broken path in two, and bursts the unified path into several parts.
It means making the simple complex.
Also, it is an invitation to set out to find the simple behind the complex.
The simple that was there all along and has been lost,
The purity of the gesture, of the word, of the intention, of the inner flow.
The state that is lived,
And is broken by the evil one.
The « evil »: the energy of deceit we harbor and nurture,
the twisted and calculating mind of the strategist.
This energy is also nourished from outside, flattered by society.
The evil one, here below, is highly valued. It aggregates looks and tends the skull to the crowns of success.
The strategist’s abilities are willingly applied to oneself (« Self Branding »)
The man who today does not know how to sell himself is the man who is never bought and will be neglected, stubbornly shunned by opportunities and promotions.
The counterpart of this exchange, what is it, if not the soul or hard and hellish cash…
Because, from there, it is the whole being thus rewarded that switches into a universe of placement, attitude. It is the channels of his soul that are congested.
The simplicity of life fades away and then disappears.
The lines of life that twist, all the fingers fold up, the being that rolls up.
By smothering, he smothers others and everything he meets.
It is hidden in the details, they say…Indeed, in the thousands of choices that the individual makes on a daily basis, behind the micro-compromises, the psychological arrangements (the little little functional arrangements of our psychic apartment, temporary arrangements of our inner space)
Under the most broken path, under the path most strewn with pitfalls,
flows a simple and limpid stream from which one ignores royally and in fluid innocence
a spiritual wisdom of which nothing is said.

In other words, the more one tries to be « someone, » the more difficult it is to be oneself.
