In This Sitting Body

All lessons,
The finest resonances of our deep being,
stand there,

In this sitting body,
Which pulls and cracks,
In this body often reluctant to sitting.

Sometimes you see it,
Sometimes you don’t.

Some never see it
When others are fully bathed in rhapsody

Seek to see it, and it will instantly disappear,
Just sit down

As one places a paper sheet on the edge of the low wall, knowing that the wind will come to carry it away.

As a father watches one day his once so small daughter becoming a woman, placed on the edge of teenage years,
The sheet is our flying carpet and the child our ongoing life.
And yet we look while remaining on the threshold
and the child, and the paper sheet

Sitting, the world flies into me,
And the lives of men pass, bind, unbind,

I acutely suffer,
Without really suffering.

    1. not my practice,
      practice in general,
      no matter the cultural context.
      Appeasement leads to empathy,
Therefore if empathy is not blooming in one’s practice, it reveals no appeasement has been found…however articulate, powerful, charismatic, graduated the people are.
