There are certain people to whom nothing is explainable regarding the spiritual path, the practice, reality, the divine…
This is because they have not yet reached a sufficient level of internal sovereignty to begin an authentic investigation.
They place themselves in a trembling wait-and-see attitude towards external elements, social groups, organizations, institutions, powers, and do not find themselves, in their current state, capable of turning around. (conversio)
Unable, for the moment, to lose grip on the nourishing pipes stretched out by these external actors.
We can meditate for them, pray for them, but debating is useless.
It exhausts the one having discovered his sovereignty and does not nourish the ones having mindlessly entrusted external agent with theirs.
From silence, reveal the greatest good of the heart who clearly saw there is no one outside to define his inner life,
That this has no meaning, since he feeds at the Source and walks the meadows of inner freedom.

The puzzle, though, for me, is what use debating has with those who have such sovereignty. As those who do not have it are beyond help through debate, are not those who do have it beyond need of debate?

To be beyond need of debate is the horizon,
and the world keeps pushing it further with never-ending positioning injunction.
The more I age, the less I have opinions.
Still, I often find myself caught in others’ turmoil…
Which means it is still, somehow, mine.
