My burning self

It’s so stupid, so common,
This tendency to forget the happiness that is right here,
Just below, right underneath our usual oblivion

Holding out its arms to me.
This ocean of comfort, under the buoy of forgetfulness,
Lost and burnt by the sun of thoughts
In a twist, I dive into it.

    1. I think spiritual practices first appeal to people who need them the most.
The common feature of such people to believe that spiritual practices in their lives are an object of pride is an indicator thereof.
Ego is such a protean trap.
      Where does it end ?

Buddhists would ask : does it ever begin ?
