Buddhism could suggest that there is a whole arsenal of theoretical and conceptual content to master before being able to access the practice and derive some benefit from it.
It is not so.
All this content, however useful and exciting it, is not a prerequisite for taking the path. In reality, it is more certain that it distances us since it represents additional sections on which it is easy to stagnate by listening to oneself explain to others the subtleties of the conceptual refinements of Buddhism, for years, without having the slightest experience of the path.

Which creates a new irony. The path of Buddhism, of the Buddha, is not Buddhist.
As an ex-Christian, I find that entirely unsurprising.

Doesn’t that last statement make you a genuine follower of Christ ?

Assuming there is such a thing…
As to principles, of that, or of anything else. Do name(s) matter?
As to believe structure, not by any recognised measure.

Indeed…genuine genuineness genuinely disregard genuineness.

Er… I think…
