Nobody For You

Sometimes we have to know how to leave behind people who cannot grow.
The resistance they express when facing the need to evolve towards a less superficial, more authentic version of their being, ends up becoming the brakes on our own maturation process.

By identifying this phenomenon, we then let go of the illusory hold we had on such people.
There are in fact certain stages, certain phases of evolution where all the help, all the insight in the world cannot be enough,

There are certain stages of the path where only the person concerned can set foot above the rock on the path.
No companion, no matter how wise, will be able to set foot in his place.
He can stand nearby, explain the movement to be made, show by example, supervise from a distance, resort to props and support, but he cannot lift his foot in front of the obstacle for the other person.

The companion must therefore stop accompanying.
After having explained, helped, assisted,
He must continue on his way.

Also, sometimes it is by leaving behind people who cannot grow…that we allow these people to grow.
Certain solitudes are essential, unavoidable passages on the path of wisdom.

It is sometimes necessary for the other to suffocate in their own narrowness, to feel the walls of their own confinements, to hear nothing other than their own voice when they call out, to live in their own flesh the need to evolve.
