I remember the famous passage from Dogen Zenji,
« To study the Way of the Buddha is to study oneself,
To study oneself is to forget oneself,
To forget oneself is to be justified by ten thousand beings. »
I suddenly think of a translation that I previously considered opaque or misleading :
be justified: be verified, be aligned,
The essence of transcendence, alignment with Reality, the union of fragmentations.
Aren’t we talking about justifying a text when it comes to aligning all the ends of lines,
Being just, justified, aligned, penetrated, being played by the symphony of Reality,
Opening up to the divine,
My « friend along the Way» (that’s what he asked us to call him when someone tried a “master”….) said:
the experience is one.

As ‘unified’
Unified son, one-with son.
