Mind Market Penetration Rate

Medication often provides the sufferer with the temporary solution that allows him to soothe the pain, silence the symptoms and allow the patient to continue to function.

Similarly, narratives (interpreted and oriented reading of reality) offer on a platter the pill allowing the spectators/target of the story to relieve the cognitive difficulties (dissonances, incomprehensions) that they encounter in a given situation.

The product sold is the narrative,

The consumption of the product is the adhesion to this narrative,
The motivation is the desired psychological appeasement effect (transient stifling of suffering).
The patient can question the validity of his intake and investigate the symptoms in order to treat the root causes of his disorder.

The target spectator can observe his cognitive suffering and discover the real cause of this psychological suffering (generally the very illusion in which one seeks to maintain it by providing the narrative)

One way to encourage subscription to the narrative will be to propose a version of the story in which the target will be the hero, the virtuous or the victim that one pities, an effective narrative will propose this double reading in order to increase its penetration rate in the mind market.
