The strong, sometime obsessive focus on posture in Zen teaching is also an upaya, a clever means and, through a detour of pedagogical engineering, presents itself as a diversion from egotistical hijacking.
As our true nature unfolds, this postural tropism tends to disappear.
Then remains the posture, what it is,
Without all the fuss.

So, it is taught until it becomes second nature.
Yet, it is just a posture, at weever stage.
