The Name in the Night

I wake up this morning feeling divinely good,
at the first surge of consciousness, however, I can observe the ancient reflex.
I had never observed it before, but, based on the vigor with which the mechanism starts, it can only be a deeply rooted conditioning.

A part of ‘being’ in me is activated and ardently seeks to find the psychological clothes it wore the day before, as trying to ensure the continuity of the surface identity, the coherence of moods….to no avail.

This failure leaves it somewhere, between its starting point (the moment of waking) and its arrival point (its disposition, the psychological structure) and, while this raw force twirled in the darkness of the night

I recited the name,

The name beyond all names,
Upstream of all names,
The one who offered me the rich and deep sleep,
The one who makes the following words appear in my mind :

You have no other choice but to mature spiritually”

  1. Waking thoughts are interesting. I remember, once, waking to the words « The gift of Mithras is reason. » Given I have never had any connection to Mithraism, this has always puzzled me. Though someone married to a pagan with that background told me it made sense.

Anyhow, of course you have no choice. You may influence pace, but not the goal.
