The Breath-Through

Silent sitting is the ultimate adventure in the land of spirituality.
The practice includes the 10,000 gates that the pilgrim crosses,

in this, silent sitting is the kingdom where all spiritual practices of all places and all times are held and evolve.

The disciple is then a meta-practitioner.
When he accesses the awareness of this property of the silent sitting,
Isn’t this an additional stasis towards absolute silence?

This masterful awareness is only permitted by the previous, successive or simultaneous crossing of stations that each of the spiritual traditions represents.

The practitioner, then, will understand that in reality, each of the practices, of the traditions in question, holds this same potential of putting into perspective that zazen offers: each practice (ritual, prayer…) accomplished from the inside contains them all and the universality of each spiritual expression is revived by the breath of the spirit.

    1. …and, as for the excessive interest I may have for rituals it could be true, and your words wound ring as a sound reminder therefore, if those rituals were practiced from a Traditional area.
I have come to realize that going through rituals from a non-identitarian approach is very powerful. And liberating.
It could also be the only manner to fully pierce through the appearances and conditioning and be conveyed beyond by the real potential rituals offer

    2. …by the way…it seems to me that is the meaning of the post there above…
Where did you read about excessiveness in focus on rituals.

I see rituals as forks, knives and spoons.
I can always smash my face right in the plate to get some food and be fed…but it is much less efficient and enjoyable.

Then again… There is a wide acception of rituals I subscribe to.
Everything at hand, potentially able to received a honest investment of consciousness.

      1. I interpreted the following (perhaps mistakenly) as a validation of ritual, no less than of your sitting practice:

« in reality, each of the practices, of the traditions in question, holds this same potential of putting into perspective that zazen offers: each practice (ritual, prayer…) accomplished from the inside contains them all and the universality of each spiritual expression is revived by the breath of the spirit. »

      2. Yes, but from a broader, deeper perspective… « From the inside »
This, by the way, works just the same with Christian rituals…but I know ..

    3. To a certain extent, your weekly time with a good glass of ….could be considered a spiritual ritual.

      To a certain extent.
This only applies here and now…not sure I’d validate this inclusion in the definition anytime in the future.
