Gratitude, no object nor recipient,

Gratitude is without recipient,
Gratitude towards the infinite is infinite gratitude.

The gratitude that invades me through the posture, flows to and beyond my master, his master, all the masters of the past, beyond space and time.

When gratitude flows to and beyond the object,
The gratitude that invades me overflows zazen, overflows the moment of here, before, now,
It is the experience of permanent gratitude.

Gratitude without object and without recepient
Is allowed by the experience of a precise gratitude towards someone,
The gratitude that I feel for my master, for his teaching of zazen, sometimes invades my heart.
