I realize tonight that the true shiho* is not the shiho,
That materialization through any document, its embodiment in a dedicated ceremony, is neither a sufficient nor a necessary condition for the transmission of the authentic shiho.
I shin den shin**.
It happens without a trace, between master and disciple, without words, without documents, without ceremony.
This gaze could not convey the intensity,
All documents could never attest to it,
And all ceremonies, all talks, would be incapable of presenting it to the eyes of the world.
