Does not « going beyond » entail destruction for the consciousness so travelling?

I believe there can be no destruction of the consciousness… Only deepening.
I believe there is no end to the deepening of consciousness.

No beginning, either.

My comment was unintentionally ambiguous, sorry. I think you read it in the way I did not intend.
To rephrase: does not a consciousness that « goes beyond » destroy any religion it may have entertained?

Or it may respect it as the opportunity for transcending it may represent.

Respect what it may offer for others, perhaps. Or not, depending on the person’s experience of religion. But, it seems to me, the effect on the one « gone beyond » must be void; to that one, the religion ceases to be operative, and to be a structure within the mind.
Therefore, it is as a ruin.
Anarchic, maybe, but…

Religion, in its superficial structures ceases to be operative,
Since it has been a vehicle to go beyond, it has longed ceased to be so anyway.
In the burning core of religion, it has never been otherwise.
