Non-Obstructing

The prayer Christ teaches has much to do with non-doing.
It’s about relying on the greatness of God, not hindering God’s work with our gestures.
From this point, we learn to forgive.

Here again, it’s about non-action.
Forgiving is a letting go of resentment.

We stop fueling emotions, words, thoughts, and actions that create tension toward others.
We do nothing, but we stop doing.

We recognize that something greater than ourselves is at work, that this action, this return to the free flow of the order of things, is no longer hindered by our retentions and blockages.

Christ’s prayer positions us internally as a receptacle of grace.
This prayer is a posture of welcoming the word, logos, transcendent wisdom.
We entrust our lives to the One who knows better within us than we know ourselves.

Obstructing God’s work
Standing in the way
Dividing The One
