The Open Sea

Free yourself from all these books,
take the great leap of courage,
let yourself go from the top of the cliffs
dive in headfirst
let yourself be intoxicated by your true nature
don’t go back
don’t go back to your books
don’t turn around at the sound of others’ sentences:
fear and ignorance guide their words,
they are afraid of the ocean
and mime swimming over a puddle,
and have nothing of the ocean but a cloudy and muddy reflection
they know nothing of the seabed
and the open sea air
