« I’ve Got It All Understood »

The problem with many people, therapists and the like, stamped with the seal of ‘official practice’ lies in the following bias:

– they believe in good faith, by intellectual laziness and/or structural psychological narrowness, that they have a monopoly on qualifying reality and the psyche of others.
They apply this monopoly in a brutal (reflexive) manner by using only the interpretive framework corresponding to the theory/therapy they practice.

  1. Unfortunately, it is not just the professional whatevers.

    I fear the majority walk in a world of their own making (nothing wrong at this point – we all do it and have little alternative choice) and fail to realise it is no more or less valid than the worlds inhabited by each of those around them.

    We each navigate the illusion. The problem is assuming it is the one reality.
