Practicing zazen alone is important,
if only to realize that we need others.
The true dojo is held together by the pillars of practitioners.
A single pillar is often insufficient, the dojo could collapse.
Practice is connecting
To others, beyond space and time,
Practice is connecting
To others, here and now,
When the strength of the practitioner from elsewhere, in other times, cannot reach us.

Thank you Michael for your attention.

You’re most welcome.

For some reason, the words that come to mind are:
« We are all alone, together. »
J’aimeAimé par 1 personne
These perfectly suit the mood of this post , Simon.
To continue from your comment we may wonder :
Sharing the impossibility to ever share anything,
is that even sharing at all ?
J’aimeAimé par 1 personne
Thank you for sharing that conundrum…
