Whatever you do,
Do not pick up all the moments of mindlessness,
Those you spent pretending you had an urgent matter to address
Do not place them end-to-end, one after the other,
For you’d be paving a highway to hell.
This would fill you with dread,
This is filling me today with infinite sadness
For you,
And for me.

Many thanks to all.
Whatever I do, I will seek to minimise the numbing triviality of this life’s demands. I will try to recognise that triviality for what it is – the demands of society’s sickness upon those who seek for health. And when I am mocked for turning away from the endless pursuit of material wealth and social status, I will look at the mockers, and I will pity them. Even though I know I can do nothing other than walk away. No man can heal those who want to be ill

Though they do not know that have chosen to be ill.
“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”
Absence of mindfulness / consciousness creates conditions of suffering.
Christ and the Buddha, not saying anything different…
I guess this is Karma (ref to earlier comment)
And this is samsara : endless roaming in hellish realms.
I had never realized this sentence from Jesus was so deeply aligned with Buddhist teachings.
Thank you Simon

You are welcome, though I had no idea I was indicating any such thing…
I’ll have to give greater thought as to the connection to karma and samsara.

by the way, I’m realizing this quote from the Gospel is part or the post published today, programmed in Sept, 2021.,
and certainly written in 2020…
This is just some note on Maharshi’s Poem Collection a friend back form India once offered me. (An excerpt is available at the bottom of this post : https://notesandsilence.com/2022/03/26/quintessence-de-linstruction-notes-sur-le-poeme-de-maharshi-1-2/

Thanks. Copy and paste on the mobile is proving temperamental, so I’ll run that through a translation programme on my computer tomorrow.
