A Recipe By Jesus (2/3)

Read part 1 here

In these few lines from Christ,
I find the call of the practice of Zen : The invitation to turn our attention to daily triflings, to touch – literally – through movements and gestures, the beauty, wisdom, teaching that is held there in the world as in ourselves.

In Zen, we see the seed of the real and the yeast of mindfulness.
Without it, our being is disoriented.

Planted in our heart, moist and warm, it gives birth to deep insight

And the Dharma, what can we compare it to ?
To a seed, complex, simple, humble and wonderful,
To yeast incorporated into the dough of our beings.

  1. I do not judge your approach. It works for you, and that is enough to establish its validity.

I merely observe, again, that this is a view that many (and I have walked amongst them) would find unacceptable. . Which tells me something.

That interpretation is a process of using a structure of expressed thought as a frame on which to hang what is of value in one’s own practice.

Hence, I do not judge your approach. It works for you, and that is enough to establish its validity.
