People often complain there is nothing they can do.
It’s actually not true.
Mindfulness. This is what we can do.
Offering presence to the moment, any moment, is what we can do.
This has ever been and will always be the only thing we can do.
Whatever you do,
Wherever you are,
Touching a door knob,
Speaking in front of the world.
Close your eyes half a second, and find this true presence to offer the situation, including yourself.
The present of presence,
The only present worth something.
Beyond worth and beyond things,
Offer your true self and let go of the rest.

To quote (possibly, misquote) a poem:
They will read in the book of the true
Hagiographer,
Of the one thing you managed to do –
Be the man you were.
[Isaac Ewan]
However, offering one’s « true self » requires that one has found (realised?) it.
Perhaps that is the first task of mindfulness.

and the last ?
For what else remains to be done ?
J’aimeAimé par 1 personne
No thing…?
