It also refers to reminding we are not less valuable/capable than our ancestors.
We should be empowered with that same creative spirit… And not over worship their writings and missing wonderful opportunity to make our tradition alive, now.

As to our relative worth as against our forebears – the traditions they built were new at the time. I suspect they had the same insecurities in face of the now forgotten traditions they were supposed to follow.
